Drinking Water Croatia

Helpful background, tips and explanations in detail.

Drinking Water Croatia

The tap water in Croatia is safe and drinkable – even on the island of Pag and in Novalja. So you can confidently bring a reusable bottle and fill it at the tap.

If you prefer to buy mineral water, you can find affordable options in local supermarkets (Plodine, Studenac, Tommy). A 1.5-liter bottle usually costs less than one euro. Tip: Buy water in the supermarket instead of at the beach – it is significantly more expensive there.
